Our clients

Green Peninsula was set up in 2006 in response to demand from a handful of large ’non-energy’ organisations with industry leading ambitions to green their energy consumption on a material scale. Such ambitions presented new challenges, including:

  • Energy becoming a matter of capital investment, rather than procurement and commodity trading
  • Material investment in a non-core business
  • Entrance into a young industry with diverse technology and counter party risks
  • Revenue streams driven by factors out of the organisation’s control, such as regulatory instruments that vary between countries, and the wind!
  • Energy teams not yet equipped with the knowledge or skills base to lead the organisation into new waters
  • Energy decision-making becoming a board-level issue

To date, Green Peninsula has helped some 20 large organisations towards overcoming these challenges, and led their peers in a trend that will become the norm for large energy users. Our business model is maintain close, long-term relationships with a small number of clients that value our deep know-how, hands on approach to getting things done, and perceptive understanding of their businesses.
